POWER AND TORQUE INCREASE:
The Chip It Module is the most cost efficient method of increasing the power of your diesel engine on the market today. The Chip It Module was designed for the 4WD’s and trucking industry who want more power right across the

TURBO BOOSTING:
The real secret to big power increases is to add both fuel and airflow to achieve a complete burn of extra fuel.
If you don’t burn the extra fuel, then you’re just over-fuelling, and excessive black smoke is one of the many signs of over-fuelling. The problem with over-fuelling is that it can dramatically increases the exhaust gas temperature’s (EGT) of a diesel, which can lead to engine problems.
Most modern diesel engines can withstand temperature between 650-800 degrees Celsius for only a matter of a few seconds at a time without incurring permanent damage – but there is always some level of risk.
Higher density air provides the engine the ability to produce a given amount of power with less throttle. This generally equates to better fuel economy as well. It also means the engine has greater power generating potential … accelerating and over-taking etc. Smoother all-round performance is thus the result. On the reliability side, having colder air (through the use of intercoolers, efficient intake systems such as snorkels etc) will reduce EGTs, and also reduces the chances of detonation.
In short, with diesel tuning, when increasing fuel delivery EGTs and black smoke (un-burnt diesel) increase as well. By adding extra air to the combustion process you can avoid high EGTs. This is where the Chip It Performance Module outshines the competition.
As a FREE option, we build into every Chip It CR Module our unique Turbo Boost Controller.
Ensuring optimal airflow will allow the engine to accept more fuel without dangerously high EGTs. Electronic boost control on a modern diesel engine on variable vane or fixed vane turbochargers will allow for instant increase of boost pressure, allowing for higher airflow. The Chip It Performance Module has a built-in boost controller and effective boost control is managed electronically without risk as only a minimal increase is needed to provide the benefits discussed above.
So without increasing air flow into the engine when adding fuel WILL cause exhaust gas temperatures to rocket beyond safe levels and can spell the eventual death for the engine or turbocharger. Many performance chip users seem unaware of the potentially expensive engine damage such modifications can cause. Their first consideration is how much power they can add to their diesel vehicle. DPF REMOVAL.
Many diesel vehicles have diesel particulate filters(DPF’s) such as the Nissan D40 Navara and Mitsubishi Pajero. These filters are used to catch diesel particulates in your exhuast gases in an effort to reduce the amount of black smoke your vehicle produces. However these filters eventually block up with these particulates and conduct a “burn cycle”. This cycle works by injecting diesel into the filter in an effort to heat it up and burn away the blockage. Unfortunately after the DPF has been through a numerous amount of burn cycles it starts degrading and eventually stops working. The life expectancy of these filters is less than 10 years and that is under perfect working conditions. Replacement of these filters can cost anywhere between $2500 and $4000.
However we provides a solution to replacing these filters while providing more engine efficiency and lower exhuast gas temperatures(EGT’s).
We have designed a straight through 3″ stainless steel replacement pipe (which we like to call a DPF delete pipe) which will fit up with the orignal exhaust system and DPF sensors without throwing an engine check light. These pipes remove the need for the vehicle to conduct a “burn cycle” because the sensors wont read a blockage(obviousely because the pipe is straight through). The vehicle also achieves better exhuast flow and lower EGT’s for the same reason.
We do not recommend that owners of vehicles with DPF’s buy a diesel performance chip until this has been replaced with our DPF delete pipe. This is to save you money and head aches. When you increse the power of a diesel, you increse the amount of fuel going into the combustion cycle which means more diesel particulates in your exhuast gases. This means your DPF is going to block up more quickly.

Every Chip It Module is thoroughly tested in our manufacturing facility here in Australia. This testing is conducted in-house by our own master vehicle tuners. All tunes are tested using Australian fuel under Australian conditions using Australian Complied Vehicles. This means no error codes and Modules THAT WORK FIRST TIME, EVERY TIME!
EASE OF CUSTOM TUNING:
The Chip It Performance Module, although being able to be digitally tuned via laptop, come with many preset tunes which provide you superior overall results and can be left as is. However, where users wish to, the Chip It Module is easily customised (by professional tuners) to allow more grunt off the mark and more power in the mid range. Also, if and when you add go fast bits (ie larger exhaust, after market dump pipe, ram air tubes, larger turbo etc) the Module is totally re-configurable to accomodate these changes.
Please note: we go through pains taking effort to provide safe and reliable tunes to be able to warrant our tunes. We cannot provide warranty if the standard tunes have been modified. A software footprint allows us to track these changes.
REMOTE TUNING:
As an extra service we are also able to offer remote assistance. You may not ever need it, but it’s good to know it’s there if you need it. With our remote Desktop feature we call, “Co-Pilot”, we are able to log in to help you with a custom tune. This advantage allows you to have us there with you. Imagine, a full custom tune to suit your vehicle and your mods without bringing the vehicle to us. Now that’s a good idea!
INDIVIDUAL CHIP AND MODULE TESTING:
Every Chip It System is mapped to maximise the performance of each engine family. When necessary, mapping can be easily customised via laptop software provided free of charge with every unit purchased. Changes can be made to suit a larger exhaust system or higher turbo boost pressures for example.

RETAIN FACTORY “CEL” & SAFETY CODES:
Although it is easier and cheaper to control fuel injection ‘Post factory ECU’ our Chip It Module provides much safer increases in vehicle performance from ‘Pre factory ECU’ fitments for a variety of reasons.
One significant reason being that if your engine runs into trouble and the factory ECU need to start winding back performance based on, for example, over-temp or other adverse reading then the “Pre-ECU” changes would be accommodated in factory ECU programming to safe-guard your engine where as a “Post factory ECU” Chips would simply be working against these variations.
The obvious answer is the have your Chip the type that utilises “Pre factory ECU” technology. Make sure you ask the other brands what position they utilise before you buy.
The Chip It Module is made in such a way as to allow your vehicle’s factory computer to display error codes, servicing intervals properly. All diagnostic capabilities are never lost or tampered with. All vehicle manufacture’s engine safety systems remain UNTOUCHED. Your factory ECU will function precisely as it did before the System was fitted. This includes Airbags, Limp Home modes, Anti-lock brakes and all other safety system installed. No interference downstream keeps you and your engine safe. This also means manufacturer’s diagnostics testing will not find our Chip It Module because testing sees what the factory ECU is “saying”.
NEW FACTORY WARRANTY:
Feel at ease when taking the vehicle back to a dealer for servicing or a warranty claim. If you are concerned by what the dealer may say about the Module being installed, the Chip It Module can be easily removed so as to bring the vehicle back to standard. Wherever possible, original OEM electrical plugs and connectors are used to facilitate easy installation. The Chip It Module is fully transportable. EGR VALVE BLANKING:
Q. What is an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve?
A. The EGR valve controls a passageway between the intake and exhaust manifolds. When the EGR valve opens, exhaust gasses flow from the exhaust manifold through the valve and into the intake manifold, keeping NOx emissions within state limits.
Q. Why block off the EGR supply port?
A. These hot, oxygen-depleted, exhaust gases displace (dilute) the cooler incoming oxygen-rich air and has a quenching effect on combustion and combustion temperatures. This reduces engine performance and raises intake air temperatures dramatically.
Q. What are the benefits of blocking the EGR Supply Port?
A. Many.
1) Cooler intake air temps.
2) More performance.
3) Less engine oil contamination.
4) Cleaner engine oil means increased engine life.
5) Cooler exhaust temps.
6) No Soot in intake which keeps vacuum / boost lines clean
Q. What are the negatives of blocking the EGR passageway?
A. This is for offroad use only … it is against the law to change the way the vehicle’s emission control systems function. … we must mention this for legal reasons.
An EGR Blanking Plate allows the engine to use oxygenated air rather than hot exhaust which is recirculated into the intake stream. It also keeps the engine oil cleaner by keeping pollutants away from the crankcase.
Many CR-D engines EGR valves can be blocked. However some will throw a code (P0299) and this means that the inlet manifold senors read a pressure differential, this can only be resolved by drilling a ten millimeter hole in the EGR plate creating a restrictive plate rather than a blank. This EGR restrictor plate reduces 90% of exhuast flow.
